
Ufenau-backed Kanalservice buys Karo Kanalreinigung
Ufenau Capital Partners portfolio company Kanalservice has acquired Zurich-based competitor Karo Kanalreinigung.
Kanalservice is a platform investment from Ufenau V German Asset Light, a €220m buy-and-build fund.
Karo is the fourth bolt-on the platform has made within a year after the acquisition of Mökah Group in March 2017, Zecchinel Transport in November 2017 and Jeschke Umwelttechnik in January 2018.
The expansion has resulted in revenues increasing 60% since 2015, to a projected CHF 43m in 2018. The management will now focus on the integration of the acquired companies.

Karo Kanalreinigung is headquartered in Zurich and offers its clients sewer cleaning, sewer TV inspection, suction, leak testing and renovation services. Its clients include real estate management companies, building cooperatives, plumbing companies, architects and private home owners, as well as communal and cantonal clients.
