SHS-backed Novo Klinik buys Innocath
German healthcare specialist SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement has supported the bolt-on of respiratory products supplier Innocath for its portfolio company Novo Klinik-Service.
SHS acquired Novo in July 2015, drawing equity from SHS IV Fonds, a €100m vehicle with the capacity to do both venture deals and growth buyouts. The GP launched its fifth fund with a €150m target earlier this year.
Novo is expanding its product portfolio in the field of airway management through the acquisition.
SHS expects to support further bolt-ons for the platform with the goal of creating a nationwide service in airway management through the buy-and-build strategy.
Company
Innocath is a medical technology company founded in Duisburg in 2012 that focuses on airway management for ventilated patients. The company was founded by Bernhard and Sonja Behme, who will continue in their roles and take a stake in the new company.
