
Softbank leads €10m round for Bepro
Japanese technology investor Softbank has backed Hamburg-based football analytics software develop Bepro.
Softbank led the round with capital from its Vision Fund. Altos Ventures and Korea Telekom also took part in the financing.
The fresh capital will be used for international expansion into the US, South-East Asia and other European countries.

Bepro raised a €2m seed round from undisclosed private investors in 2015.
Company
Bepro was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Hamburg. The company develops software for the analysis of football video. It also equips stadiums and training pitches with a fixed camera fitting to capture footage for analysis. The software is used by 60 teams in the top five German divisions including FC Köln, which pays less than €10,000 a year for its subscription, according to German press reports.
The company was originally founded by Hyunwook Kang in Seoul but, seeing the potential for the business in Germany, he moved with his family and 11 employees in 2017. Bepro currently employs 30 people.
