
Auctus buys Robert Bürkle from Nimbus
German buyout firm Auctus Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in surface coating machinery manufacturer Robert Bürkle.
The sale ends a four-year holding period for Dutch investor Nimbus, which acquired the company from its family owners in 2014.
At the time of Nimbus's acquisition, the business employed 730 people and generated a turnover of €75.9m. In 2017, the business reported sales of €107.4m and currently employs 449 people.
Auctus is currently investing from its €230m fourth buyout fund, which held a final close in December 2014.

Robert Bürkle develops and manufactures plants and machinery predominantly for the wood processing industry. The company also manufactures systems for the electronic, photovoltaic, glass, building, automotive and plastic card sectors.
