
Capiton buys AEMTec for €86m
Berlin-based PE firm Capiton has acquired micro- and opto-electronics business AEMTec from the listed technology business Exceet Group using a holding company controlled by Capiton V.
The purchase price amounts to €86m and will increase Exceet's net cash position to €105m after completion, according to a public announcement.
AEMTec generated EBITDA of €8m from €46.5m revenues in 2017, giving Capiton's acquisition an entry multiple of 10.75x.
Capiton used the holding company Mellifera Neunundzwanzigste Beteiligungsgesellschaft to acquire AEMTec. The holding company is controlled by Capiton V, a €400m buyout fund that closed in January 2015.
Excluding AEMTec's activities, Exceet generated €2.1m EBITDA from €21.5m sales in the first half of 2018.
