Argand-backed Oase begins US expansion
Argand Partners' German portfolio company Oase Living Water has acquired Ohio-based Atlantic Water Gardens.
The US-headquartered buyout firm acquired Oase from Equistone Partners Europe last year for an enterprise value in the region of €215m. The sale ended a six-year holding period for Equistone, during which Oase's revenues increased 50% to €150m and EBITDA almost doubled from €13.2m to €24m.
Oase will now be able to sell its Pro line in North America directly and Atlantic Water Gardens will gain access to Oase's global network for landscape construction services.
Hörstel-based Oase was founded in 1949 and is a provider of water gardens products, fountain technology and lake management. At the time of Equistone's exit it had production sites in Germany, Italy, the UK, the Netherlands and China.
Company
Atlantic Water Gardens was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Mantua, Ohio. The firm manufactures and markets a full array of water gardening products to a variety of clients with a heavy focus on the landscaping and contractor business in the US, Canada and Mexico.
