Olymp backs Yeay
Crypto-focused VC firm Olymp Capital has backed Berlin-based marketing platform Yeay.
Olymp claims to be the first comprehensive European investment firm dedicated to blockchain and cryptocurrency assets. It has the ability to invest in traditional equity as well as coin and token offerings.
The investor will work with Yeay to launch its WOM Token, which will be used to monetise its recommendations.
Previous funding
VC firms Grazia Equity and Mountain Partners have led a $4.9m seed funding round for Yeay in June 2017.
Company
Yeay describes itself as an "m-commerce" (mobile e-commerce) platform; in effect a marketplace app that integrates video content to help people buy and sell products. The application has 100,000 registered users from 160 countries worldwide. The company was founded in 2015 and employs 35 people.
