Argand-backed Oase bolts on Söll
An Argand Partners portfolio company Oase Wübker has acquired ecological maintenance company Söll Group.
Following the acquisition, Söll products and services will be distributed globally using Oase's capability. Söll is an attractive target for Oase due to its research and development facilities and product portfolio, which expands Oase's existing offering.
Argand acquired Oase from Equistone Partners in a tertiary buyout in 2017. The enterprise value was thought to be in the region of 9x Oase's €24m projected EBITDA, which would amount to €215m, according to Unquote Data.
Company
Founded in 1994 and based in Hof, Söll's service and product range includes garden ponds, Koi ponds, freshwater and saltwater terrariums, pool maintenance, water analysis and professional fish farming. Since 2012, the company has partnered with WWF Germany to support nature conservation and environmental organisations that promote the protection and preservation of the ocean. It employs 80 staff.
