
Battery Ventures-backed AED-Sicad acquires Geocom
Software company AED-Sicad has wholly acquired Geocom from Esri Deutschland.
All assets, people and customer contracts of Geocom in Switzerland and Germany will be acquired. The two companies will merge following the transaction, and the combined company will operate under a new brand.
Battery Ventures acquired AED-Sicad from its CEO, Thomas Englert, in 2017.
Company
Geocom was established in 1995 and employs 100 staff in six locations, primarily in Burgdorf and Kranzberg. The company offers geographic information systems and applications for use in the utility, industrial plant management, and transport and logistics markets. It can assist with data management, map publication, network planning and logistics. The company counts E.On and Wincor Nixdorf as clients.
