Sequoia, Spark Capital lead $47m series-C for Tourlane
Sequoia Capital and Spark Capital have led a $47m series-C funding round for Berlin-based Tourlane with participation from DN Capital and HV Holtzbrinck Ventures.
The fresh capital will support plans for internationalisation, staff recruitment and product development.
The company reported that revenues increased by 800% in 2018.
Previous funding
In 2016, HV led a $1.5m seed round for the company. NFQ Capital, Monkfish Equity and business angel Nathan Blecharczyk also participated.
Spark and HV joined to lead an $8.5m series-A in March 2018. NFQ, DN and business angel Fritz Demopoulos also joined the round.
Tourlane's series-B occurred in December 2018 and was led by Sequoia. Spark, HV and DN joined to raise $24m for the company. The funding round has been used to employ more than 80 people since December.

Tourlane is an online planning and booking service for customised multi-day trips. The company works directly with service providers and offers flights, accommodation, tours, activities and transfer options. Founded in 2016, the company is based in Berlin and employs more than 200 people.
