
Yabeo-backed CommitMed merges with Prosenio
A portfolio company of Yabeo, CommitMed has taken over elderly care products provider Prosenio to create the merged company Prosenio-24.
The combined company will generate more than €16m in sales and will employ 60 people.
Following the transaction, Selma Oppermann, former managing director of CommitMed, will retire. Prosenio-24 will be headed by Prosenio managing directors Christian Fleck and Ulli Papke. The company plans to expand into Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia, and realise synergies in purchasing, logistics, sales, billing and marketing.
Previous funding
In 2013, IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft and Klingel Gruppe provided financing to CommitMed. Yabeo led a series-A funding round for the company in 2015, with participation from K – Invest and IBB.

CommitMed operates the brand Pflegebox, which is a complete service for the supply of disposable nursing care aids. The company is based in Berlin and was founded in 2011. It employs 30 people.
Prosenio is an online store dedicated to products for the elderly, including bandages, heating pads, pillboxes and blood pressure monitors. The company was founded in 2009 and is based in Augsburg.
