
Waterland-backed Coeo Inkasso bolts on KNP
Waterland portfolio company Coeo Inkasso has acquired debt collection service KNP Financial Services.
The acquisition allows Coeo Inkasso to enter the Austrian market and expand its e-commerce customer base. KNP plans to improve service quality and continue to invest in analytics. A spokesperson for Waterland told Unquote that the company expects to make more acquisitions in Austria in the future.
The vendors of the shares are the founders and managing directors of KNP, who will continue to manage the company following the sale.
Waterland acquired Coeo Inkasso in January 2018 and planned to implement a buy-and-build strategy for the company. This is the company's first acquisition since Waterland invested. Coeo Inkasso generates revenues of €50m from its activities in telecommunications, e-commerce and retail debt collection.
