Novator leads $22.3m series-B for Klang
Novator Partners has led a $22.3m series-B funding round for games developer Klang.
Existing investors Northzone, New Life Ventures, Neoteny, Makers Fund, Firstminute Capital and Lego Ventures have also participated in this funding round.
Novator partner Birgir Ragnarsson will become the chairman of Klang's board following the transaction.
Previous funding
In 2015, London Venture Partners led a seed round for the company drawing equity from its LVP Seed Fund I. The firm invested again in 2017 along with business angels Reid Hoffman, Joi Ito, David Helgason and Adalsteinn Alli Ottarsson.
Makers Fund led a $5m round in March 2018. Riot Games, Novator, Neoteny, Mosaic Ventures, LVP, Greylock Partners and Firstminute Capital also participated.
In July 2018, Northzone led a $8.95m series-A, joining force with existing investors Novator, Makers Fund and Firstminute Capital.
Company
Klang develops video games. Its largest project currently is a persistent-virtual-world game called Seed. Based in Berlin and founded in 2013, the company employs 44 people, according to its website.
