
Eight Roads backs €13m series-B for Thinksurance
Eight Roads Ventures has led a €13m series-B funding round for Frankfurt-based insurance technology company Thinksurance.
The company will use the fresh capital to grow the business and to expand into international markets.
Lucile Cornet of Eight Roads will take a seat on the board.
Eight Roads is currently investing from Eight Roads Ventures Europe III. The fund closed in March 2018 on €307m. The fund targets series-B and series-C financing rounds, as well as early-stage deals. Recent fund activity includes a €16.82m expansion investment in UK software group Fuse Universal.
Previous funding
Previous investors in Thinksurance include Policen Direkt, the Hoesch Group and the German Startups Group. The company has also received investment from Nikolai Dördrechter and Christian Vollmann.
Company
Thinksurance was founded in 2016 by Florian Brokamp and Christopher Leifeld, and is based in Frankfurt. The company entered the market under the name Gewerbeversicherung24 and was renamed in July 2019. The insurtech group provides a digital platform for insurance brokers and distributors. Thinksurance has established partnerships with a number of insurers and more than 20,000 brokers and distributors. It employs more than 40 staff.
