
Finatem acquires Food & Service Group stake from Steadfast
Steadfast Capital has sold its majority stake in wholesale food distribution company Food & Service Group to Finatem Beteiligungsgesellschaft for an undisclosed amount.
Finatem commits €10-25m per deal in companies with a turnover of €25-125m. It is currently investing from buyout fund Finatem IV, which closed in December 2014 on €150m.
Previous funding
Steadfast acquired a stake in Food & Service Group in June 2015 as part of the company's management succession; the GP invested via Steadfast Capital Fund III. The fund held its final close in March 2013 on €128m and is fully deployed.
In February 2016 and June 2018, Food & Service Group acquired two regional competitors.

Founded in the 1960s, the group is headquartered in Mülheim an der Ruhr, North Rhine-Westphalia. Food & Service Group manufactures meat products and handles wholesale distribution of items for the food industry, including small restaurants.
