Aurelius buys ZIM Flugsitz
Aurelius has bought a majority stake in family-owned aircraft seat manufacturing business ZIM Flugsitz.
Founders Peter and Angelika Zimmermann will retain a minority stake in the business and will remain in their management positions.
The GP plans to invest in optimising the group's financing structure, improving its operations and broadening its product portfolio.
ZIM Flugsitz is the GP's fourth investment of 2019, according to Unquote Data, and its second of the year in Germany following its acquisition of a majority stake in family-owned Marcus Transport in September 2019.

Headquartered in Markdorf, Baden-Württemberg, ZIM Flugsitz was founded in 2008 by Peter and Angelika Zimmermann. The company traces its roots back to 1995, when it was established as an aircraft structural engineering service provider. ZIM Flugsitz produces seats for passenger and commercial aircraft. Its customer base includes Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines and Japan Airlines.
The company has a production centre in Schwerin, reports revenues of €55m and has a headcount of 210.
