CGS-backed EoL bolts on BSM Maschinenfabrik
End of Line Packaging Experts (EoL), a Germany-based packaging producer and portfolio company of CGS Management, has acquired market peer BSM Maschinenfabrik.
The GP expects the add-on acquisition to strengthen the company's market position in Europe in packaging services for the food and beverage industry, according to a statement.
Thomas Lehmann, managing director of BMS, will remain on board and will have a stake in EoL.
EoL comprises Germany-based A+F Automation + Foerdertechnik and US-based Standard-Knapp. A+F was acquired by CGS from Mutares in December 2017 for a purchase price of €20.5m. It generated revenues of €28m at the time of the acquisition.
CGS deployed equity to finance the acquisition of A+F from CGS IV, which closed on its hard-cap of CHF 240m in June 2018. The fund deploys equity tickets of CHF 15-40m.

Based in Pfatter, Bavaria, BMS produces packaging machinery for palletising, packing and conveying. The company also assists with project planning, delivery and installation for its products. BMS was founded in 1992 and has 100 employees.
