Invision-backed Schneider Group bolts on Nova Traffic
Schneider Group, a freight transport business and portfolio company of Invision Private Equity, has wholly acquired freight and delivery company Nova Traffic.
The deal is part of an early succession planning strategy for Nova Traffic. CEO and former owner Daniel Stein will continue to lead the company, and will also hold a stake in Schneider Group and be a part of its management team following the acquisition.
Invision bought a majority stake in Schneider in November 2016, deploying equity via its fifth fund, which held a final close in July 2013 on €285m. The company reported revenues of €150m in 2014.
The company has made five add-ons across the US, the UK and the Netherlands during the investment period, having secured a refinancing in 2019 with an acquisitoin facility. Invision did not provide any additional equity to finance the acquisition of Nova Traffic.
