Dawn Capital, Accel lead Bryter $16m series-A
Dawn Capital and Accel have led a $16m series-A round for Germany-based enterprise software developer Bryter.
The round also saw participation from existing investors Notion Capital and Chalfen Ventures.
According to a statement, the company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its customer base internationally. The statement added that the company has seen user engagement with its platform double during the coronavirus outbreak.
Accel held a final close in May 2019 for its latest vehicle, Accel London VI, on $575m. The vehicle backs series-A rounds and deploys equity tickets of $5-15m.
Dawn Capital held a final close for its third fund in April 2018 on £165m. It is currently at a pre-launch stage for its fourth fund, according to Unquote Data.
Previous funding
Bryter held a pre-seed round of $1m in August 2018, backed by Cavalry Ventures.
In November 2019, Accel, Notion and Chalfen backed a $6m round for the company.
The company has now raised a total of $25m in venture capital fuding.
Company
Bryter produces software that allows businesses to design automated digital processes without the need for coding. The company claims that coding can be a barrier for companies seeking to develop software. According to its website, it has 50 businesses as clients, include companies in the healthcare, financial services and industrial sectors. Named clients include McDonald's and Telefonica, as well as Deloitte and KPMG.
Founded in 2018 and based in Berlin, Bryter has a headcount of 68, according to LinkedIn. It has an additional office in Frankfurt.
