
Left Lane, DN Capital back €8.3m round for GoStudent
Left Lane Capital and DN Capital have led a €8.3m round for Vienna-based online tutoring platform GoStudent.
The round also saw participation from existing investors, as well as the founders of Swoodoo and HomeToGo, who participated as strategic partners.
GoStudent plans to use the fresh capital for product development to expand to European markets beyond the DACH region, as well as to build its customer and tutor base in the DACH region.
GoStudent is New York-based Left Lane Capital's second investment from its first fund, according to its website. The firm focuses on internet and consumer companies.
DN Capital is currently investing via DN Capital Global Venture Capital IV, which held a final close in December 2017 on €200m. The firm announced in June 2020 that investment manager Ragnar Jongen and investment analyst Marius Oesterschlink have moved to Berlin to represent the firm in the region.
Previous funding
In July 2019, Austria-based investor Speedinvest backed a €1.5m round for GoStudent, with Speedinvest contributing €550,000 and taking a 12.7% stake in the company.

The website also offers a free homework chat service, where students can discuss their questions. GoStudent currently offers tutoring subscription packages for students in the DACH region. The company was founded in 2016 and has 99 employees, according to LinkedIn.
