
Hermes Capital-backed Mattenbach buys FO Group
Switzerland-based printing company Mattenbach, a portfolio company of Hermes Capital Group, has acquired market peer FO Group.
The deal is part of a succession plan for the Konrad family, according to a statement from FO Group. Jürg Konrad will remain on the firm's board of directors.
Hermes acquired Mattenbach in November 2019. The GP said at the time that it planned to merge Mattenbach with its existing portfolio company DE Druck. Mattenbach has 200 employees.
Hermes invests in Switzerland-based companies, acquiring majority stakes and making long-term investments. The firm focuses on the areas of printing, packaging, real estate and financial services advisory.

FO Group comprises FO-Fotorotar, FO-Zürisee, Druckzentrum Büelholz and IEB Medien. Based in Egg bei Zürich, the company provides communications, and offset and digital printing services, specialising in the media sector.
