Liberta Partners acquires Forteq Healthcare
Liberta Partners has acquired a majority stake in Switzerland-based medical devices producer Forteq Healthcare in a carve-out from Forteq Group.
Forteq Group will employ 700 people following the divestment.
Liberta's operations team aims to work in partnership with the company's management, who will remain on board.
The GP is deploying equity via Liberta Partners II, which held a final close in May 2019 on €50m. The fund invests in companies with revenues of €15-200m and deploys equity tickets of up to €15m. Forteq Healthcare is the fund's fourth platform investment.
Liberta Partners focuses on deals in which operational change is required, including carve-outs and succession solutions.

Founded in 1995, Forteq Healthcare develops and manufactures medical devices. The company assists clients with areas including research and development, manufacturing and packaging. Forteq Healthcare employs 100 staff and is headquartered in Nidau.
