HTGF and Bayern Kapital back Cunesoft
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Bayern Kapital have invested in Cunesoft, a cloud software provider for the pharmaceutical industry.
The fresh funding has been earmarked for internationalisation of sales and the development of further collaborative features in the company's software. The business also plans to share its customers' documents and dossiers with their external suppliers and customers via a secure connection.
The company highlighted the challenges that small- and medium-sized enterprises face when complying with regulations for filing drug submissions and the current lack of software available to tackle this.
HTGF also stated it was convinced of the need for the company after speaking to existing clients.
Company
Founded in early 2013, Munich-based Cunesoft provides cloud-based regulatory software for the life sciences industry. Its software-as-a-service modules provide customers with document preparation and drug submission publishing. It can be used within 24 hours, which the company claims is 90% quicker than its rivals.
Its current clients are mainly drug manufacturers from emerging countries, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, and generic drug companies. Cunesoft has an entry-level pricing model for small companies and a scalable licensing model for larger organisations.
People
Rainer Schwarz is CEO and founder of Cunesoft. Christian Jung is an investment manager in the life sciences, materials sciences and regenerative energies sector at HTGF. Wolfgang Dengler led the deal for Bayern Kapital.
