
Holtzbrinck Ventures et al. back Semasio
Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI), Holtzbrinck Ventures and the incubator Project A have invested a seven-figure euro sum in Hamburg-based software company Semasio.
The company previously received seed financing from High-Tech Gründerfonds of €500,000 in April 2011. It intends to use the new funds to accelerate geographical expansion and develop products.

Founded in 2010 the company is headquartered in Hamburg with development centres in Denmark and the Ukraine. It provides a software as a service which profiles digital media users and helps online advertisers target their ads.
Its clients are mainly large media agencies, premium publishers and online advertising technology providers.
