Zurmont Madison acquires majority stake in AKAtech
Zurmont Madison Private Equity has acquired a 55% stake in Austrian electromechanical assembly and manufacture firm AKAtech Produktions.
The transaction will facilitate a growth strategy for the company, which will continue to be led by the existing management team.
The investment was made through the Zurmont Madison Private Equity L.P. fund, which holds total commitments of CHF 250m and closed in 2008.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Frankenmarkt, AKAtech engages in electromechanical assembly and the manufacture of complex wiring harnesses. The company has three production facilities in Austria and slovakia and employs around 350 people. The firm generated sales in excess of €30m in 2011.
