
Holtzbrinck et al. invest in FlixBus
Holtzbrinck Ventures, UnternehmerTUM and Daimler Mobility Services have backed German coach operator FlixBus.
The fresh capital will be used to expand FlixBus's operating network.
FlixBus is the fifth company held in UnternehmerTUM-Fond's portfolio. UnternehmerTUM's maiden fund closed on €25m in August this year after 24 months on the road.

FlixBus offers clients coach transportation services across Germany, with a fleet of 1,500 coaches. It runs more than 500 daily services to 60 destinations in Germany and bordering countries.
The company, which was founded in 2011, employs 50 staff. It is based in Munich.

Ingo Potthof led the deal for UnternehmerTUM. Jochen Engert is CEO of FlixBus. Marcus Spickermann is CFO of Daimler Mobility Services. David Kuczek led the deal for Holtzbrinck.
