Point Nine leads ChartMogul seed round
Point Nine Capital, together with business angels Michael Hansen and Tom James, has injected €600,000 of seed capital into subscription revenue analytics platform ChartMogul.
Point Nine stated it had followed founder Nick Franklin's activities at former Danish start-up Zendesk and was interested in his latest business venture. The VC had initially seed-funded Zendesk following its inception in 2007. Point Nine also sees software-as-a-service (SaaS) as a growing market and has already invested in 20 SaaS companies.
According to the VC's website, it usually invests between €100,000-500,000 in start-up companies and can invest up to €1.5m in later rounds.
Business angel Michael Hansen previously hired Franklin at Zendesk.
Company
Founded by Nick Franklin in November 2014, Berlin-based ChartMogul measures subscription revenue, conducting analytics for payment platforms Stripe, Braintree, Chargify and Recurly. Companies including CodeGuard, Hopster and Typeform use the service.
