
Wellington Partners et al. invest in Readmill
Wellington Partners has joined previous investors Passion Capital and Index Ventures in a series-A funding round for German social reading platform Readmill.
The financing round follows on from the 2011 seed funding round by Passion, Index and other investors, which is said to have been less than €1m according to reports.
The fresh capital will allow Readmill to grow its team, develop new product features for different platforms and form new partnerships.
Company
Readmill is a Berlin-based start-up, founded by David Kjelkerud and Henrik Berggren in 2010. The company has developed a social reading platform that allows readers and authors of ebooks to communicate via a social network.
The company already partners with Leanpub, Readlists, Jottify and other services. It currently employs 10 people.
