
Tengelmann Ventures invests in ShopWings
Tengelmann Ventures has invested in a €12m series-A round for supermarket delivery service ShopWings.
Start-up accelerator Rocket Internet also invested in the company, which now plans to expand both in Germany and internationally.
According to reports, Tengelmann invested €10m for a 36% stake in the company, giving ShopWings a €27m enterprise value.
Company
Founded in September 2014, ShopWings is a personal shopping and delivery service. It currently offers goods from supermarkets including Aldi, Lidl and Alnatura. ShopWings, which was incubated by Rocket Internet, is active in Berlin and Munich.
