Constellation buys Faircheck
Swiss GP Constellation has acquired a 85% stake in German claims management and property insurance provider Faircheck Schadenservice.
The company's founders will continue to hold the remaining 15% of shares. Constellation leveraged the buyout at roughly 50%. The sale process started in June and closed in September.
The GP was actively looking for a deal in the sector and directly approached Faircheck's management. Constellation stated it was attracted by the company because of its digital approach to the business and efficient structuring. It hopes to grow the company by winning new customers and applying a buy-and-build strategy.
Constellation acquired the asset through its Constellation IV fund, which closed on its €120m hard-cap in November 2014.
