HTGF and Media Ventures fund Fooboo
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Media Ventures have invested in Fooboo, an Unterföhring-based company that develops mobile services for the food industry.
Fooboo will use the fresh capital for new hires and marketing.
HTGF stated its investment decision was based on the start-up's mobile offering. According to the investor, the kochrezepte app has been downloaded 600,000 times in the last year.
Media Ventures intends to aid the company's growth both financially and through its knowledge on building web platforms. It also provides access to a network of advertising channels. It initially invested in the company in March.
HTGF usually invests €500,000 at the seed stage, investing €2m overall in follow-on funding rounds. It is currently investing from its €304m second fund.
