
Clue raises $7m series-A from Union Square and Mosaic
Union Square and Mosaic have led a $7m funding round for Berlin-based women's health app Clue.
The company will use the capital to hire additional staff, develop new product features and enter additional markets. The company also plans to seek partnerships with universities that do scientific research in the field of reproductive health.
Previous investors included France-based Groupe Arnault and Brigitte Mohn, whose family controls German media group Bertelsmann.
Mosaic is a London-based VC that focuses on series-A rounds. The firm invests from a $140m fund.

Berlin-based BioWink, founded in 2013, is the developer of Clue, a period and fertility tracking app. It is currently available in 10 languages on iOS and Android systems. The app has 2 million users in 180 countries.

Ida Tin is the CEO and co-founder of Clue. Albert Wenger is a partner at Union Square. Simon Levene is co-founder of Mosaic Ventures.
