
Sun acquires Flabeg Deutschland
Sun European Partners has wholly acquired Flabeg Deutschland, a German automotive glass producer.
The buyout of Flabeg Deutschland marks the first acquisition by Sun's new Frankfurt office, which opened this summer.
The assets of Flabeg GmbH, the parent company, went under administration in 2013. This process led to the sale of the automotive glass section.
In order to grow the company's value, Sun plans to take it into new markets and to support the development of new products.

Founded in 1882 and headquartered in Nuremberg, Flabeg produces glass and mirrors, with a focus on the automotive industry. It is involved in production as well as research and development. The company employs 1,500 people at nine sites across three continents.

Andreas Katzer is the CEO of Flabeg. Andreas Bösenberg is the managing director of Sun's Frankfurt office. Michael Kalb is a senior managing director at Sun.
