
HTGF provides seed round for Somonic Solutions
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen (TGFS) have jointly invested in Somonic Solutions, an electroplating technology provider.
The capital will be used to start serial production of the firm's product, a measuring instrument called dresor.
TGFS is a venture capital firm focusing on start-ups and young companies in the technology sector in Saxony. It currently has €60m of capital available, committed by the Free State of Saxony, the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE), the Sparkasse banks of Chemnitz, Leipzig and Dresden, and the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW).
Company
Somonic was established using the framework of the Exist Research Transfer programme at the TU Dresden. The firm develops measuring technology to document the deposition rate of electroplating and electroless metal deposition that is suitable for industrial use.
Somonic was founded in November 2012 while it officially started production in March this year.
