GoEuro raises $27m series-A
Berlin-based GoEuro, the developer of an all-in-one travel-planning platform, has secured $27m in its series-A funding round led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA).
The company's existing investors – Battery Ventures, Hasso Plattner Ventures and Lakestar – have reinvested in the round.
The three firms injected $4m into the company in March last year, with Battery Ventures leading the seed funding round.
The substantial capital injection will allow GoEuro to expand into new markets in Europe.
According to NEA partner Forest Baskett, the European travel market is valued at more than €200bn.
