
Capiton exits RTS to Media-Saturn
Capiton has sold German warranty and after-sales service provider RTS to Media-Saturn.
The GP bought RTS in 2009. During the investment period, RTS acquired four companies. Founder and managing director Josef Raith, who continued to hold shares following Capiton's investment, will keep 10% of the company.
Capiton currently has €1.1bn in assets under management and holds 13 companies in its portfolio. The GP held a second close for its Fund Capiton V vehicle in December 2014 at a hard-cap of €425m.
The trade sale will see RTS becoming part of consumer electronics retailers Media-Saturn, which operates 1,000 shops in 15 European countries.
Company
Wolnzach-based RTS provides warranty and after-sales services for manufacturers of electronics, in particular notebooks and monitors. RTS's services include warranty management, reverse logistics, inventory management and repair work. RTS has 1,200 employees and posted revenues of €136m in 2014.
