
RhodeCode raises $3.5m from Earlybird and DFJ Esprit
Earlybird Venture Capital and DFJ Esprit have led a $3.5m funding round for secure software developer RhodeCode.
The fresh capital will fund new hires as the company prepares to expand its service offering.
With its new backers, RhodeCode plans to tap into the $21bn-a-year application lifecycle management market.

Located in Berlin and San Francisco, RhodeCode provides an enterprise-grade code collaboration platform with a high level of security. The company's product gives companies a secure infrastructure to build and develop software.
RhodeCode's main product, RhodeCode Enterprise, is popular among companies that require a high level of security for their operations. Customers include, the US Navy, Raytheon, and Cisco.
The company said it had record revenues in Q3, with sales up 95% compared to the previous quarter.

Earlybird partner Jason Whitmire is and DFJ Esprit partner Gil Dibner will take a seat on the company's board. Mark Kuzminski is the CTO and co-founder of RhodeCode, while Sebastian Kreutzberger is the CEO.
