
Speedinvest backs Hitbox’s $4m series-A
Hitbox, an Austrian live-streaming platform for gamers, has raised $4m from lead investor Speedinvest and other backers.
Venture capital firm North Base Media, online gaming company Wargaming and several angel investors also participated in the round.
Hitbox will use the capital to establish its US office and to hire additional staff.
Speedinvest is an Austrian venture capital firm. It was founded in 2011 and its current fund has a size of €58m. The VC provides up to €500,000 in seed capital and up to €3m in follow-on investments. Its sector focus covers fintech, media and e-commerce.

In 2014, Speedinvest received $1m in seed financing from angel investors.
