Triton buys Alpine-Energie
Triton has wholly acquired Austrian energy firm Alpine-Energie Holding from Spanish group Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC).
The all-equity transaction is subject to the approval of the relevant anti-trust authorities. Although financial details have not been disclosed, press reports put the purchase price at close to €100m.
Triton intends to drive the firm's sales and operational processes and structures. Particular focus will be given to the improvement of project planning and process control to drive the profitability of Alpine-Energie's core business.

Founded in 1920 and based in Linz, Alpine Energie is an international group focused on power generation, energy transport and power engineering. The company was founded as Energie Gesellschaft für elektrische und industrielle Unternehmungen, with original headquarters in Stuttgart. Nowadays, the majority of the firm's turnover originates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, though the company is also present in Luxembourg, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy and Hungary.
Alpine-Energie employs 3,000 staff and generated a €462m turnover last year.
