
EQT buys kfzteile24
EQT has acquired a majority stake in kfzteile24, an online retailer for automotive spare parts, from the company's founders.
The founders will keep their co-CEO positions, while Internetstores CEO René Marius Köhler and Project A Ventures managing director Florian Heinemann will join the board of directors.
The GP stated that it plans to grow the company by further developing the online offering. Its strategy also includes capacity expansion and improving operational efficiency.
EQT typically provides between €20-100m of equity per deal.

Founded in 2001 and based in Berlin, kfzteile24 is an online retailer for automotive spare parts and accessories in Germany. In addition to its online shop, the company has three retail stores with affiliated repair shops in Berlin. It had revenues of €114m in 2014 and employs 500 employees.
