Waterland exits Seniocare to Swiss Prime Site
Waterland has exited Swiss nursing home operator Seniocare to real estate investment company Swiss Prime Site for an undisclosed sum.
The company acquired three additional nursing homes during Waterland's investment period.
Waterland bought the business in November 2012, when it had an estimated turnover of around CHF 100m. The GP usually invests between €10-200m in companies operating primarily across the outsourcing, sustainability, travel, luxury and leisure sectors in northern Europe.
Despite the exit from Seniocare, Waterland remains invested in the healthcare sector; in December 2014, the GP merged its healthcare portfolio companies Median Kliniken and RHM Group.

Founded in 1983 in Wattwil, Switzerland, Seniocare operates 29 nursing homes across the country. The company employs 1,200 people.
