
EQT's Sportradar scores $44m funding round
Swiss sport data firm Sportradar has raised $44m in a funding round led by US venture firm Revolution Growth.
Two US basketball figures also participated in the round: Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and ex-professional Michael Jordan.
The company will use the capital to develop new products.
Sportradar stated it had experienced rapid growth since it entered exclusive partnerships with sport federations including UEFA, DFB and NHL.
Previous funding
In May 2014, EQT invested in Sportradar through its EQT VI fund. The GP acquired the shares from its EQT Expansion Capital II fund, other shareholders and the owners.

Founded in 2003 and based in St Gallen, Sportradar is a provider of sports data and content. It employs 1,000 people across 30 locations worldwide.
