
VR Equitypartner buys Weisshaar Gruppe
VR Equitypartner has acquired the Weisshaar Gruppe as part of the company's succession planning.
Two co-investors – Dietmar Wohlfart and Stephan Huber, who have experience in company management – have also participated in the buyout.
The company has been under the ownership of Andreas Wagner since 1999, when he bought 100% of the shares from founder Lothar Weisshaar. Wagner invested in new production technologies and concentrated the company on four strategic business areas.
Debt financing
The Volksbank Schwarzwald Baar Hegau, the Sparkasse Oberpfalz and the Baden-Württembergischen Bank provided debt facilities for the transaction.
Company
Headquartered in Deißlingen, Weisshaar develops and manufactures plastic injection parts for the automotive, furniture, heating and mechanical engineering industries. The group claims its products are able to withstand high chemical, thermal and mechanical stress.
Founded in 1961, Weisshaar employs 100 people.
