
b-to-v invests in eperi
Swiss venture capital firm b-to-v has invested €500,000 in Darmstadt-based cloud security specialist eperi.
The fresh capital will be used to develop sales structures, in particular with international partners. Both parties agreed that b-to-v could optionally increase its investment in 2015.
b-to-v recently opened an office in Berlin, stating its interest in becoming more active in the German market, particularly in technology start-ups.
Since the move, b-to-v has invested in Cologne-based Ayoxxa Biosystems, an international biotech offering a technology platform for multiplex protein analysis, as well as Berlin-headquartered Wine in Black's series-C funding round.

Headquartered in Darmstadt, Eperi is an IT security company focusing on database encryption, cloud applications and mobile security. Founded in 2003, it began operating under the eperi name in 2014. Its clients include IBM, for which it provides consultancy services, and Microsoft, a development and technology partner.
