
Heidelberg backs Snom Technology
HeidelbergCapital has become the majority shareholder in Berlin-based VoIP telephone developer Snom Technology.
Heidelberg invested via its second fund, which focuses on secondaries direct investments. It had already acquired shares in the company from previous stakeholder Beaufort Capital in July last year. Heidelberg is now the majority shareholder following a capital increase.
Beaufort invested in the company in June 2007.
The fresh funding will be put towards the development of new products, as well as international expansion.

Founded in 1996, Snom develops and manufactures VoIP telephones and equipment. Headquartered in Berlin, it has additional offices in Italy, France, the UK, Taiwan and the US.
