HTGF backs KonTEM
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) has made an investment in German healthcare technology start-up KonTEM GmbH.
HTGF's early-stage investments tend to sit around the €500,000 mark. The fresh capital will help KonTEM bring its system for the examination of biological specimens with microscopes to market. The product will be launched with a business model based on recurring revenues.
Company
KonTEM is a spin-off from research centre Caesar in Bonn and Max-Planck-Innovation GmbH in Munich.
It was incorporated in 2011 in Bonn after gaining support from the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology through its EXIST Forschungstransfer grant.
