Connect Ventures backs Avari
Connect Ventures has led a €500,000 funding round for Avari, a developer of predictive email personalisation technology.
Several business angels, including SoundCloud co-founder Eric Wahlforss, took part in the funding round.
The company has now raised more than €1m in funding, with Connect Ventures having previously led Avari's seed round. The company stated it has already made several key hires and is planning more in the coming months.

Founded in April 2013 and headquartered in Berlin, Avari was previously known as RetentionGrid. The company rebranded in January this year, as it changed from being a predictive analytics and email marketing company to providing predictive personalisation services for email service providers.
The software enables marketers to personalise emails to each recipient via a single email campaign. Avari currently serves 7,000 businesses in 59 countries, which in turn provide email services to 10 million users.
