Antispameurope GmbH (Germany) - Dec 2007

Under the lead of HT Gründerfonds, Neuhaus Partners GmbH and hannover innovations fonds (hfi) provided expansion capital to antispameurope GmbH, a provider of managed services to fight spam emails and viruses. HT Gründerfonds acquired a 15% stake in the company.

As problems that the company addresses increase and legislation so far has fallen short in providing protection, the company’s services are seen as an attractive market. Managed services are already further developed in the US. Antispameurope is said to provide very high recognition rates. The funding will enable to company to invest in sales and marketing, as well as the development of its products.

After this first funding round, another funding round is currently underway, with Neuhaus Partners planning to contribute again.

Company

The company began as a spin-off from Solid Systems GmbH. Antispameurope GmbH employs 10 people, but is looking to grow staff numbers to 20 during the course of 2008.

Dr Alexander Frankenberg and Holger Heinen represented HT Gründerfonds during the transaction, Dr Gottfried Neuhaus acted on behalf of Neuhaus Partners and Ralf Meyer acted for hannover innovation fonds. Daniel Hofman and Oliver Dehning are founders and CEOs of antispameurope.
