
General Atlantic-backed business buys allesklar.com
Axel Springer Digital Classifieds, joint venture of Axel Springer and General Atlantic, has agreed to acquire allesklar.com AG, operator of meinestadt.de
The business is being sold by the family of founder Manfred Stegger, which currently owns 56.1% of the business, and Holtzbrinck Digital Strategy, which holds the remaining 43.9%.
The transaction remains subject to approval by antitrust authorities.

allesklar.com is a Siegburg-based digital company and operator of meinestadt.de, a host site of regional specific content.
The company was founded by Manfred Stegger in 1996 and employs around 300 people.
Key asset meinestadt.de holds information on more than 11,000 German cities and attracts approximatley eight million unique visits per month.
People
General Atlantic principal and German head of business Joern Nikolay led the deal for the GP. Founder and current CEO Manfred Stegger will leave the company upon completion of the deal at his own wish. Georg Konjovic, director of premium content at Axel Springer, will take his place.
