
OEP acquires Duran Group
One Equity Partners has bought Duran Group, a supplier to the life sciences, pharma and healthcare industry, from Adcuram Group.
OEP stated it planned to expand Duran's global market position and to increase its product portfolio.
Adcuram acquired Duran from Schott in 2005 as part of a corporate carve-out. While under Adcuram's ownership, Duran gained long-term customer contracts, created new products, expanded geographically and invested in its technology. It also made bolt-on acquisitions in the UK and India.
Company
Founded in 1887, Duran manufactures borosilicate glass. It claims this glass is chemical- and temperature-resistant, and is used in laboratory and industrial glassware and chemical processing technology.
Wertheim am Main-headquartered Duran also operates out of the UK, India and Croatia. It generates annual turnover of €100m and has 700 employees.
